Bagram legal team changes eastside location, continues offering assistance

BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan - Do you need a power of attorney, affidavit or a notary while deployed? Nobody ever expects to need legal advice or services for personal matters while deployed, but life happens.

When those situations arise, the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Judge Advocate office is here to provide full legal assistance to Air Force service members.

Since every Airman isn’t able to get to the main legal office on Camp Cunningham, there’s also a location open each Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to accommodate airmen on the eastside of the airfield.

Recently the legal team changed their eastside legal assistance location to better serve their airmens’ needs, however, their services and times have remained the same.

Every Wednesday, an attorney or paralegal is available to provide for the 755th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, 455th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, 455th Expeditionary Communications Squadron and 455th Expeditionary Operations Group, and any other Air Force members on the eastside of Bagram.

“We are here to ensure your legal readiness throughout your deployment, so you can focus on your mission,” said Capt. Dimple Nolly, 455 AEW Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, deployed from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.

Nolly acknowledged the help from the host squadron at the current location has been extraordinarily supportive for the legal assistance program.

“We were able to immediately start using the 455 ECES compound in September without any disruption to our services. We have seen an increase in clients at that location compared to our old location,” said Nolly, who is a Houston native.

The team alternates locations between the A-10 testing center and 455th ECES compound. Moreover, they will be located at the A-10 testing center for the first and third Wednesdays and at the 455 ECES compound for the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Legal assistance services are also offered daily on Camp Cunningham, Mondays through Saturdays, from 8 a.m to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“If your schedule or location does not allow you to get to Camp Cunningham, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs,” Nolly said.
