PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. – Recruits of Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, completed a physical fitness test Aug. 19, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C.
For females, the test consists of three events: crunches, a flexed-arm hang and a three-mile run. The test is a graduation requirement for recruits and an annual training requirement for Marines. In 2014, pullups will replace the flexed-arm hang when testing female Marines. Oscar Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 30, 2013.
