Soldier of the Week: Spc. Christina Moore

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. – This week’s Third Army/ARCENT Soldier of the week is Spc. Christina Moore, who is a member of the Army Reserves, currently deployed to Kuwait with Third Army/ARCENT. Moore is an accountant assigned to the 336th Financial Management Support Center from Lake Charles, La.

She is a native of Las Vegas and has served in the Army Reserves for three years. This is her first deployment.

“I like the pride I get from being in the military,” said Moore. “When I put on my uniform, it gives me a sense of purpose.”

Q: What is your favorite movie genre?
A: I love fantasy movies like the movie "Cloud Atlas." I would love to visit strange worlds and experience the unknown.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Chinese food. Chow Mein is the greatest thing ever created by man.
Q: What are you most proud of?
A: I’m really proud of my culture. I’m Salvadoran and we are very hardworking people; because we are a small country, we are very close to one another.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Working out and cooking. I like to look up different types of recipes online to see how good I can make it. I’m pretty good.
Q: If you could spend one hour with anyone, who would it be and why?
A: My aunt; she passed away last year of breast cancer. I didn’t get to say good bye and really would like to get that opportunity. She was the best cook and a very loving woman.
