DHAKA, Bangladesh - The United States Army Pacific joined the Bangladesh government and Armed Forces Division in kicking off the 2013 Pacific Resilience Disaster Response Exercise & Exchange (DREE) during an opening ceremony Aug. 18, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The ceremony's speakers emphasized communication and collaboration throughout the exercise which focuses on regional readiness through civil-military disaster preparedness and response. The DREE is scheduled for Aug. 18-21, and features a Table-Top Exercise and a phased Field Training Exercise focusing on command and control, search and rescue, engineering and debris management.
