KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - Task Force Grizzly recently dedicated more than $48,000 toward a project intended to repair, upgrade and clean canal systems in the village of Mowmand in the Daman District of Kandahar Province.
The project will increase water use for agricultural purposes as well as supply water for approximately 40,000 people in the district. The contract also provides employment opportunities for locals in the village.
The project is scheduled to start in April.
