FORT HOOD, Texas -- National Night Out starts at Fort Hood at 5 p.m. Sept. 29 with kick-off events at the Bronco Youth Center and Smith Middle School.
The kick-off events, which will run until 8 p.m., will include free food, McGruff the Crime Dog, the National Knight, many activities for children and a variety of safety displays.
Participating Fort Hood Housing areas will hold National Night Out block parties Oct. 2.
Fort Hood residents are encouraged to attend the kick-off event and participate in block party activities, helping the Directorate of Emergency Services and Fort Hood Family Housing keep Fort Hood residents safe.
