MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE BARSTOW, Calif. — The largest crowd in years turned out at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., to watch “The Commandant’s Own” United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps perform a stirring musical performance followed by an intricate rifle twirling and tossing routine performed by the “Marching 24” of the Silent Drill Platoon, March 5.

MCLB officials estimate there were at least 1,400 people in attendance from communities in and around the southern California high desert area.
