MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif.- The Officers Club hosted a technology exposition aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., March 29.
Twenty-five vendors from across the United States gathered to showcase their newest products, including radio modules, computer software and robotics.
National Conference Services Inc., a company based out of Baltimore, hosts the event annually aboard the air station.
“The goal of the technology expo [was to] bring hope of new solutions to everyday problems,” said Kristan Hawkins, the event manager and a Baltimore native. “It’s nice to have an on-site technology expo, because everybody can come and see this for free.”
The event also served as a chance for the vendors to network with Marines that are in charge of future unit purchases.
The expo is a way for technology companies to meet on-site with those who recognize current equipment problems and have purchasing power within various units aboard the air station, explained Hawkins.
This annual exposition also allowed Marines to view technologies that may be implemented in the future at their units.
