GLENVILLE, N.Y. - Thirty members of the 501st Ordnance Battalion will return to their home station at the Scotia-Glenville Armed Forces Reserve Center on Oct. 15 after serving 10 months in Basra, Iraq.
WHO: Soldiers of the the 501st Ordnance Battalion, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal battalion headquarters element.
WHAT: Returning to home station and their families after spending 10 months serving as the command element for Task Force Troy South: Explosive Ordnance Disposal Teams based in Southern Iraq. The Soldiers have been out-processing from active duty at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.
WHEN: Approximately 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2011. ( Arrival time is flexible. Soldiers will be traveling home by charter bus and will leave Joint Base McGuire-Dix at 8 a.m.)
