SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The people of Southeast and Southwest Asia are seeing some new faces these days.
That's because in late June nearly 150 Reserve and Active Duty Airmen from the 916th Air Refueling Wing landed there as part of their regular Air Expeditionary Force rotation.
Reservists from the maintenance, operations support and flying squadrons left for a familiar deployment that happened only 15 months ago. Active duty Airmen from the 911th Air Refueling Squadron continued their regular rotation into the region.
Beforedeploying theAirmenmet training requirements and received briefings from various base functions. Volunteers from the USOof North Carolina were on-hand to send the Airmen with toiletries and Smiles Over Miles cards to help them stay connected back home.
Airmen are expected to return later this year.
