Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific awarded a $289,762,614 firm-fixed-price contract Sept. 22 to Core Tech-HDCC-Kajima LLC of Tamuning, Guam for the construction of a consolidated communications center facility at Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz (MCBCB), Guam.
“We are pleased to announce awarding this contract as the project significantly improves the overall effectiveness and productivity of Joint Region Marianas tenant commands,” said NAVFAC Pacific Deputy Operations Officer Jimmy Miyamoto. “This investment is an important step forward ensuring the continued success and efficiency of our mission.”
The work for this project includes the construction of a consolidated communications center facility, two warehouses and fiber communications cable.
Work will be performed at MCBCB, Guam with an expected completion date of March 2029.
