As part of the German Armed Forces "Innere Führung," a priority program for leadership development and civic education, the Marshall Center's German Element took its Bundeswehr members on a journey to the summit of the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain, July 23-24, 2025.
Following intensive alpine training on the Schneeferner Glacier, the group attended thought-provoking lectures on security and socio-political topics at the Schneefernerhaus Research Station. On the second day, they were given an exclusive tour of the research center.
The breath-taking setting inspired discussions about the importance of science, technology, and democratic governance for ensuring the security and future of our society.
