Pocheon, South Korea (July 18, 2025)
Leaders from the U.S. Army’s 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, and the Republic of Korea Army’s Logistics Support Battalion, 16th Mechanized Brigade, reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation and joint readiness during a partnership agreement signing ceremony held earlier today.
The event marked the first time the Raider Brigade has formally signed the Brigade Support Battalion partnership agreement under the KRF-16 framework, reinforcing a shared vision for integrated sustainment operations and continued alliance development.
Following the signing, commanders and senior leaders from both nations exchanged commemorative gifts as a gesture of mutual respect and appreciation. The exchange underscored the depth of the relationship between the two units and the importance of sustained collaboration in support of the U.S. and ROK alliance.
The 4BSB leadership was later invited to attend the 16th Mechanized Brigade’s Logistics Support Battalion change of responsibility ceremony. The occasion was followed by a lunch consisting of Korean traditional foods, thoughtfully prepared and shared with visiting U.S. personnel to highlight hospitality and cultural connection.
Discussions during the visit extended beyond logistics, with both battalion commanders expressing an enthusiastic interest in organizing a joint U.S. and ROK soccer match to build esprit de corps among their Soldiers. The idea reflects a growing effort by both units to deepen professional ties through shared experiences on and off duty.
The partnership between 4BSB and the 16th Mechanized Brigade’s logistics unit continues to evolve, grounded in mutual support, trust, and a shared commitment to operational excellence. The events of the day demonstrated that while tactical cooperation remains essential, the foundation of the alliance is built on respect, friendship, and genuine care between leaders and Soldiers alike.
