Defense Logistics Agency Director Navy Vice Adm. Alan Thompson has announced his selection of Ted Case as director of DLA Information Operations. Case has served as interim director of DLA Information Operations for the last eight months.

“I could not be more pleased with Ted Case leading the more than 2,000 members of DLA’s global information operations enterprise. I am confident he is more than up to the many challenges the agency will face in the months and years ahead,” Thompson said in an e-mail to senior leaders announcing Case’s selection.

Case has been with DLA since June 1992 and has served in numerous leadership positions throughout Information Operations. He was inducted into Senior Executive Service in 2002 and became deputy director and chief technical officer for DLA Information Operations.

"I'm honored that the director has asked me to take the reins of DLA Information Operations," Case said. "I’m confident that our team of IT professionals will continue to be a force level multiplier to assist the agency to meet the goals that the director has set out for all of us."

Case retired from the Navy in 2001 and received the Rear Adm. Grace Murray Hopper Award for Excellence in Academics and Leadership in Computer Technology while serving in the Navy Supply Corps. Case also received a Meritorious Executive Presidential Rank Award in 2009 for his work as DLA's chief technical officer. He has a Masters of Science degree in Computer Systems Management.
