BAGHDAD --A suicide bomber wearing an explosives belt attacked a group of Iraqi men waiting for work in eastern Baghdad today, killing at least four and wounding 43, Iraqi police officials said.
The Iraqi Police responded to the scene.
The attack happened at about 7 a.m. near the Sunni Muslim al Samaraei mosque in the New Baghdad neighborhood, said Lt. Bilal Ali, Iraqi police, in an Associated Press report.
The victims were men waiting on the side of the road seeking daily work on construction sites, said Ali.
Multi-National Division " Baghdad Soldiers responded to the scene of the attack to support the police.
Iraqi Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal conducted a post-blast analysis.
This incident is under investigation.
