The Pentagon will honor its military and civilian personnel killed and wounded during the Sept. 11 terrorist strike on the building.

The memorial service will be held at the River Entrance of the Pentagon at 11 a.m. Oct. 11, one month after the hijacked jetliner smashed into the west side of the building. A total of 125 service members, DoD civilians and contractors working for DoD and 64 airline passengers died in the attack.

Planners expect about 3,000 family members of those killed in the attack and as many as 20,000 other people to attend the services. The ceremony marks the end of the 30-day mourning period for the victims of the attack.

Military installations wishing to view the ceremony can aim antennas at the following coordinates: SBS6 Transponder 6, downlink 11848 megahertz. The audio is at 6.2 and 6.8.
