    Army dominated the other three services to take the Armed Forces Boxing Championship Feb. 12 here.

    Army boxers carded 25 tournament points by winning eight gold and one silver in the 10 contested weight classes. The Air Force trailed with a distant 7, followed by the Marine Corps, 4, and Navy, 2.

    Individual gold medal finishes by class were:

    o Light Flyweight: Cpl. Robert Cartillo, Camp Lejeune, N.C., unopposed.

    o Flyweight: Sgt. John Medina, Fort Carson, Colo., unopposed.

    o Bantamweight: Airman 1st Class Bobby Deleon, Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, d. Sgt. Torrence Daniels, Fort Hood, Texas, 11-6.

    o Featherweight: Senior Airman James Dubois, Misawa Air Base, Japan, d. Lance Cpl. Johnny Edwards, Camp Lejeune, 14-9.

    o Lightweight: Sgt. Marshall Christmas, Fort Carson d. Cpl. Herberto Acevedo, Camp Lejeune, bout stopped in the fourth round.

    o Light Welterweight: Sgt. Khevin Smith, Fort Bragg, N.C., d. Cpl. Roland Diaz, Camp Lejeune, 19-12.

    o Welterweight: Spc. Rondale Mason, Fort Carson d. Cpl. Anthony Little of Camp Lejeune, bout stopped in the fourth round.

    o Light Middleweight: Staff Sgt. Yamar Resto, Fort Carson d. Seaman Joaquin Zamara of Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, bout stopped in the second round.

    o Middleweight: Staff Sgt. Julius Fogle of Fort Drum, N.Y., d. Cpl. Mike Martinez, Camp Lejeune, 17-5.

    o Light Heavyweight: Sgt. DeAndrey Abron, Fort Carson, d. Capt. Joseph Pastorello, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., 19-3.

    o Heavyweight: Spc. Carlos Ibarra, Fort Campbell, Ky., d. Navy Petty Officer 3rd class Isreal Spencer of Amphibious Construction Battalion 1, Coronado, Calif., 11-8.

    o Super Heavyweight: Spc. Eric Prindle, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, d. Petty Officer 2nd class Keith Spencer of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40, Guam, 21-6.
