Tulsa District participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for a new Kaw Nation Housing Services Center in Newkirk, Oklahoma April 17, 2025.
The new Housing Services Center will be a much-needed expansion and improvement for the Kaw Housing Authority, which serves its citizens by ensuring the availability of affordable quality housing. Lt. Col. Curtis Loftin and other Tulsa District personnel met with Kaw Nation leadership and Housing Authority members to celebrate the occasion.
Through the Tribal Construction Support Program, Tulsa District technical expertise is partnered with Tribal expertise to successfully execute construction projects that improve community health as well as social and economic development.Tulsa District supports tribal self-determination, self-reliance, and capacity building by assisting with construction projects, like these important administration facilities, that allow Tribal Nations to better serve current and future generations.
