From March 22 to 27, KFOR-units will be deployed throughout Kosovo. These operations will be directly under the command of COM KFOR, Lieutenant General Markus Bentler.
The operations will mobilize many units from all Multinational Battle Groups. KFOR will operate its forces very flexibly and decisively in Kosovo.
The aim of these operations is to strengthen KFOR's, EULEX's and Kosovo Police's abilities to react to any given scenario, whenever security is at stake. This is also an opportunity to operate with KFOR personnel after adaptation to the new KFOR structure.
With the current operations, it is intended to verify on the field, once again, that KFOR is able to rely on more flexible operations, deploying forces very quickly and decisively whenever and wherever necessary.
The co-operation between KFOR and the security organisations in Kosovo is one of the pillars of KFOR's ability to maintain a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo.
