Fort Leonard Wood, MO-General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital’s Acute Minor Illness Clinic (AMIC) changed location and hours in November 2023.
The AMIC serves Tricare Prime beneficiaries who have acute medical illnesses.
The changes were made to improve provider/patient continuity and access to care.
“If you call the appointment line for an acute medical need, we first attempt to schedule the patient same day with their Primary Care Team (PCM). If there aren’t available appointments, the patient will be booked in the AMIC,” said Lindsey Roesner, Administrative Officer for the Primary Care Service Line.
Patients can schedule appointments by calling the appointment line. Patients who walk into the AMIC without an appointment may be seen later that day if appointments are available.
The AMIC is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is in the Internal Medicine Clinic.
