HANCOCK FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, SYRACUSE-The 174th Attack Wing Recruiting office hosted their second Educate the Educator event at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base on Thursday, May 26.

“The purpose of the event was to continue to nurture the wing’s partnership with the local Syracuse community and to express our appreciation to the educators and influencers from the Syracuse area,” Technical Sgt. Timothy Moore, 174th production recruiter said.

The event was open to guidance counselors, teachers, coaches, professors, mentors and community influencers.
The group received an inside look of the174th Attack Wing daily operations and how the wing contributes to the community locally and globally.

The event started with a mission brief from the 174th Attack Wing vice commander, Col. Charles Hutson. The group continued with a tour of the base, lunch and a presentation from 174th Attack Wing production recruiters and Syracuse University.

“This was one of the biggest turn outs for the wing and the entire recruiting team made this event successful. Moore said. “The mission we have here in Syracuse is unique, and the opportunities we provide are endless.”

“It was one of the best presented, regimented, and community-based events that I have ever attended,” Steven Maynard said. “I was impressed by the regimented atmosphere, team-oriented units in the various departments, and disciplined behavior of each and every single member within each unit that was involved.
