    Two Soldiers Charged With Murder in Baghdad

    BAGHDAD -- The 1st Cavalry Division announced that two more Soldiers have been charged with murder of an Iraqi civilian.

    Staff Sgt. Johnny M. Horne, Jr., and Staff Sgt. Cardenas J. Alban, both from Company C, 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment from Fort Riley, Kan., face the charge of murder under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice.

    The Army's Criminal Investigation Division is continuing an investigation into the allegations. The alleged incidents are unrelated to charges filed Sept. 22 against Sgt. Michael P. Williams and Spc. Brent W. May, also of Company C, 1-41 Infantry. These charges are only allegations. The Soldiers are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.The specific events relating to these charges cannot be discussed in detail at this time due to the on-going investigation.
