FORT LEE, Va. – The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is participating with military exchanges to honor veterans with commemorative coins on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, while supplies last.

The limited-edition coins, commissioned by the Navy Exchange, honor the service of veterans in celebration of Veterans Day, said Marine Sgt. Maj. Michael R. Saucedo, senior enlisted advisor to the DeCA director.

“These coins are a token of our appreciation for the service and sacrifices our veterans have made throughout our nation’s history to safeguard our freedom,” Saucedo said. “And for our veterans who are eligible patrons, we are always committed to honoring their commitment by delivering the best commissary benefit possible.”

The coins will be distributed in commissaries worldwide on a first-come, first-served basis. They will also be available at local military exchanges. Veterans are asked to identify themselves as a veteran and bring verification of veteran status, if available.

The coins will also be available online at myNavyExchange.com when a purchase is made beginning Nov. 11, until supplies last.
