BIDDLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Pa. – The 111th Force Support Squadron welcomed a new commander during a change of command ceremony here, Nov. 7, 2021.
Maj. Joshua Aduddell took command of 111 FSS from Lt. Col. Brian Wilson, who served as commander of the unit for eight years.
Though Wilson will be moving on, his motto for services will stay with them, “nos servitium ita prius vol” – we serve so others can.
“We’re not always getting kudos from the outside being in customer service,” said Chief Master Sgt. Lauren Paul, the 111 FSS senior enlisted advisor. “But Lt. Col. Wilson put pride into the squadron. He has always made everyone feel special and makes sure they know they’re here for a reason.”
111 FSS will carry that pride as they look forward to welcoming new leadership.
“We are excited for the new ideas Maj. Aduddell will bring to the table,” said Paul. “He’s very highly driven and has a lot of future plans for where he would like to see the squadron go. We are all excited to work together and take things to the next level, and to become better than we already are.”
While Aduddell admits he’s a little nervous to be taking command, he is confident he will do well.
“As a person, I put a lot of pressure on myself, so I get really nervous,” said Aduddell, “But what I do is I turn that into fuel – which drives me to always try and perform at my best. Because I don’t want to let anyone down. This is my family.”
Aduddell believes in taking care of people, and is very fortunate to be joining such a strong team at the 111 FSS.
“I am set up for success in the fact that we have amazing people who want to come here and do their jobs to the best of their ability,” said Aduddell. “I am really excited to try and strive for new heights with this squadron and to take care of the Wing. Because that is what we do – we take care of the Wing.”
