CAMP CARROLL, South Korea – Army Field Support Battalion-Northeast Asia (Forward) conducted a key leader engagement with the commanding general of U.S. Forces Japan at Sagami General Depot, Japan, Oct. 22.
Lt. Gen. Ricky N. Rupp, received a briefing and tour of AFSBn-NEA (Forward) facilities highlighting Army Prepositioned Stocks-4 strategic capabilities, innovative efforts, and the rapid projection of power within the Indo-Pacific region.
Sean Mager, director, Logistics Readiness Center-Honshu and Maj. Shane Gregory, chief of activities, AFSBn-NEA (Forward), highlighted the organization’s multifaceted sustainment operations to include the continuous improvement, stratification of equipment, and modernization of the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade to strategically align capabilities and enable commanders to conduct multi-domain operations within the theatre.
In addition, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christopher Altman, aerial delivery technician, AFSBn-NEA (Forward) and Frederick Wittmer provided an overview of aerial delivery capabilities and the force provider expeditionary systems, highlighting force projection capabilities that align with supporting combatant commanders’ priorities.
AFSBn-Northeast Asia is a subordinate unit of the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade headquartered at Camp Henry, Daegu, South Korea, which falls under the U.S. Army Sustainment Command located at Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois. ASC is a major subordinate command of U. S. Army Materiel Command headquartered at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
