In preparation for the FY22 slating season, officers from Manpower Management Officer Assignments (MMOA) will conduct the FY22 MMOA Command Visits and Virtual Roadshow at installations throughout the Marine Corps. MMOA remains faithful to the Marine Officer community and will work to restore a sense of normalcy regarding officer moves, while simultaneously modernizing the officer assignments process. MMOA recognizes the importance of in-person interaction with commands and individual officers; however, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, MMOA will be limited in where travel will be conducted. Based on positive feedback from the FY21 Virtual Roadshow and continuing to leverage new and existing technology, MMOA will conduct Virtual Interviews with FY22 movers. From August to October 2021, MMOA will travel to designated locations to conduct a series of briefs, in-calls, workshops, and town halls in order to provide basic manpower fundamentals through education across the enterprise, engage with senior leadership and commands to gain knowledge of unit-specific concerns, and increase MMOA's awareness by establishing interpersonal relationships with commands and officers to better assess unit and personal needs. From October to December 2021, MMOA will conduct virtual interviews with eligible FY22 movers in order to gain a better understanding of each officer's personal and professional desires, as well as provide career mentorship while assisting Marines in making well-informed career decisions.
