    Marine Corps Installations East

Fair winds and following seas to a significant aspect of Marine Corps Installations East. After decades of faithful and dedicated service to the Marine Corps, from active duty member to veteran service, Paul F. Boniface, Chief Conservation Law Enforcement Officer for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, has retired after 41 years of federal service.
“I lived in central Massachusetts in a town called Westfield. I wanted to do something different, so a buddy of mine and I decided to join the Marines.” said by Boniface. “We were standing on the yellow footprints at Parris Island 3 weeks later in February 1980.”
His time as an active duty Marine took him across the world serving in various deployments and missions including Desert Shield and Desert Storm. 2001 marked the beginning of his time with the Conservation Law Enforcement Office and as a veteran.
“My wife Kathy is my biggest supporter. She has been with me through my entire military career with deployments and wars”, said by Boniface. “My father-in-law Andy Rushford motivated me too, he was my biggest fan through my military and civilian career. I always wanted to show him how great this career as a Conservation Officer was and he really enjoyed some of the story’s I told him.”
2021 will close out Boniface’s four decade federal service career. From his active duty service in Desert Shield and Desert Storm, to his time as game warden in the Conservation Law Enforcement community, Boniface leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
“You just have to keep faith in God, maintain a good attitude, and work with what you have. Having a great staff working with you, forming relationships with staff in other work areas, and maintain your work ethics with other units and areas of the base will allow you to overcome adversity.”
