It is time to begin thinking about how you can make a difference through the Combined Federal Campaign.
The CFC, the largest annual workplace charity campaign, will give all federal employees and retirees the opportunity to pledge donations to a variety of local and national charities.
The campaign will run Oct. 13 – Nov. 15, and then continue soliciting donation pledges Jan. 2 – Jan. 15, 2021.
Robins’ goal for this year’s campaign is $150,000.
Tech. Sgt. Torrey Kilpatrick, 78th Security Forces Squadron Installation Security noncommissioned officer-in-charge, said the campaign is a time to give and support a greater cause that impacts the world around us.
“I believe that giving back and making a difference is essential,” he said.
Kilpatrick is the 2020 installation project officer for CFC at Robins.
He said CFC is a time to give and support a greater cause that impacts the world around us.
“Every individual has experienced a time where they have gone through trials and tribulations themselves,” he said. “When people step in and aid you during those tough times, it promotes a feeling of knowing that you are not alone. Helping others also feels good and promotes your emotional wellbeing.”
CFC contributions can be made by payroll deduction or by online to PeachbeltCFC.GiveCFC.org; by paper pledge forms for payroll deduction, credit card or a one-time check; or by visiting your app store and downloading the CFC Giving App to make donations via credit card.
Kilpatrick said key workers should make 100% contact with individuals in their respective units to present CFC booklets with a list of charitable organizations.
Those making donations online or via the CFC Giving App will be able to search and view charities online.
Kilpatrick said while the pandemic has caused some challenges, CFC workers plan to use more virtual fairs and will be more creative in their efforts to ensure a successful campaign.
Eligible participants can learn more about the upcoming CFC by visiting the Robins Splash page, visiting the Peach belt CFC site at PeachbeltCFC.GiveCFC.org, or through in-person briefings with CFC key workers.
Staff Sgt. Jarvis Polite, 78th SFS Electronic Security Systems NCOIC, who is the vice installation project officer for the base’s CFC, said the campaign is a great way to make a difference in the community.
“I believe every year we should show some love to our charities of choice as they impact the world around us,” he said. “Show some love, Team Robins, and let’s change the world.”
