MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CENTER TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. – The Johnson Valley Shared Use Area will be temporarily closed to the public from Oct. 30 - Nov. 09, 2020 while the Marine Corps conducts critical military training in the area. The closure period includes the time required to conduct pre- and post-inspections of the area in coordination with the Bureau of Land Management.

The adjacent Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Recreation Area, managed by the BLM, remains open to the public for recreation purposes year-round and is unaffected by closures of the Johnson Valley Shared Use Area. Off-road enthusiasts may also enjoy the nearby Stoddard Valley OHV Area.
