CABRA/CABRE,Kosovo--KFOR donated a new playground to the "Osman Rama" primary school Sept. 22, 2020 in Cabra/Cabre, Kosovo. The School secretary Emine Jakupi , english teacher Arjeta Begu, staff and students thanked KFOR for the donation.

Col. Noel Hoback, deputy commander for Regional Command East presided over the ceremony.

"Today we are celebrating a playground that has been donated to the community and one of the reasons we do this is that we are interested in the children and the youth in Kosovo and creating a stable nation," said Hoback.

"Throughout the world we know that the children are our future and they are important to our future generation. That is one of the reasons that these playgrounds that we donate from KFOR are so important to the people in Kosovo."

Side by side with children and school faculty members, Hoback cut the ribbon inaugurating the playground for the school.

Hoback emphasized the KFOR mission to create stability in Kosovo and for the people and the institutions of Kosovo.

"Children playing together gives them an opportunity to learn and get along with one another," said Hoback. "That is the goal of KFOR to promote communities that get along. We appreciate you having us here today."

Swiss Liaison Monitoring Team "K4" and the KFOR Civil Affairs team also assisted by organizing the event and installing new basketball netting.

"I have seen the work that KFOR has done and peacekeeping efforts," said Begu. "Thank you to KFOR for donating the playground, it will help the school and the kids to build their social skills and learn to be friendly to each other."

KFOR’s mission is to assist the local people in bringing peace and stability to the region by contributing to a safe and secure environment with freedom of movement for all residents in Kosovo as mandated by UNSCR 1244.
