MOUNTAIN HOME, Arkansas. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled a full road closure continuously from 8 a.m. March 30, 2020 until 5:30 p.m. March 31, 2020 for Hwy 178 across Bull Shoals Dam to remove equipment used to perform maintenance on the dam’s sluice gates.
The closure has been coordinated with local emergency and law enforcement agencies. Please plan an alternate route through this area during the road closure. Travel to locations on Hwy 178 past the Bull Shoals dam closure will require a detour using Highway 178 through Bull Shoals and Flippin to U.S. Hwy 62-412, Highway 126 through Midway, and Highway 178 through Lakeview.
Officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office regret any inconvenience this may cause.
