Jack, a Military Working Dog (MWD) and his handler SSgt Hannah Morrero of the 407th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron (ESFS), visited United States Military Hospital-Kuwait (USMH-K) for diagnostic testing. Jack, who is a 7 year old Eastern European German Shepherd, works does patrol work as well as explosives detection, hasn't been himself lately. LTC Smith and SGT Green decided to bring Jack and SSgt Morrero to USMH-K for a computerized tomography (CT) diagnostic test. To assist with the CT, SPC Popular of the 411th Hospital Center (FWD) places an I.V. in Jack so LTC Smith, Jack's veterinarian, can administer a sedative for the procedure.
This was a collaboration between multiple units and two military branches for the treatment and well being of another service member, Jack. Because of this CT, LTC Smith will have a better understanding on how to move forward with Jack's treatment.
