1ID FWD welcomes new command sergeant major

POZNAŃ, Poland- Soldiers from the 1st Infantry Division Forward welcomed Command Sgt. Major Rickey Jackson as the new 1ID Fwd command sergeant major during a ceremony in Poznań, Poland, on January 23, 2020.
Approximately 30 service members attended the ceremony that saw Command Sergeant Major Joshua C. Holthus pass responsibility as the senior enlisted advisor for 1ID Fwd to Command Sgt. Major Jackson.
Sgt. Major Holthus assumed responsibility of 1ID Forward on October 23, 2019. He now moves on to Fort Bliss, Texas, for his next duty assignment.
Command Sgt. Major Jackson is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, native and enlisted in the Army 1995 as a Field Artillery Cannoneer. He is married with one daughter and one son.
The 1st Infantry Division is currently in Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve.
