MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. – The Financial Services Flight belonging to the 22nd Comptroller Squadron received Air Mobility Command’s Financial Services Office of the Year Award Nov. 4, 2019, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas.
The AMC Financial Services Office of the Year Award is presented to the FSF throughout the major command that received both significant and mission impact achievements. McConnell’s FSF team was able to do this while also having the Air Force’s newest refueling aircraft arrive to the base, which increased the number of new customers.
“To win an award at the MAJCOM level is such an impressive accomplishment that makes me proud to have the opportunity to lead this tremendous group of Airmen that deserve all the recognition they have received,” said 1st Lt. Matthew Morrow, FSF commander.
The FSF competed against 10 other installations belonging to AMC and were able to separate themselves by leading financial management operations for McConnell’s total force team with a total of 34,000 transactions and improved the approval processes.
“Our team was able to lean on each other and try new processes to find ways to give back time to the customers, reduce wait times and get them paid quicker,” said Master Sgt. Natalie Collins, FSF flight chief.
