SPC Joseph E. D. Knoch is currently deployed in support of Atlantic Resolve, with the 5th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment in Illesheim, Germany. SPC Knoch joined the Army as a 46Q Public Affairs Specialist on June 26, 2018. Over the course of his first eight and a half months on the rotation, he has published 11 news stories, 26 videos (14 of which are story pieces), and 114 photos to the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS). His work has been picked up by various military organizations such as Stars and Stripes, the DoD website, USAREUR website, various military Facebook pages, Army Instagram, and more. Most recently SPC Knoch has been assigned to a team leader position, where he is responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring two junior enlisted soldiers. With his new role and responsibility, it provides SPC Knoch with an opportunity to develop and progress towards his goal of becoming a sergeant. He has served in this new role since November 5, 2019. SPC Knoch’s most recent mission provided video coverage for a high visibility multinational exercise between the 173rd Airborne Infantry Division and The Hellenic Army of Greece, November 2019. During the rotation, SPC Knoch trained in video and became a fully qualified 46S Mass Communications Specialist in October 2019. Prior to this he provided coverage in the form of news, photos, and video in support of Saber Junction 2019, in Hohenfels, Germany. SPC Knoch has also given coverage with news, photos and video during the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Convoy operations from the Netherlands to Poland, October 2019, in Magdeberg, Germany, and at Breakthrough 2019 and Saber Guardian 2019, in Ujdorogd, Hungary, June 2019.

SPC Knoch attended the 46Q Mass Communications Convergence Course hosted by the 5th MPAD, at JBLM in March 2019. He arrived to the 5th MPAD in December 2018 as his first CMF 46 assignment. SPC Knoch also attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonardwood, Missourri, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.

Prior to enlisting in the Army SPC Knoch was a self employed Marketing Consultant at Prime Life Ventures, LLC, for Fine Art Galleries along the South Eastern region of the U.S. from May 2017 - June 2018. His record sales funnel produced over 250 email subscriptions, within 48 hours, to a Charleston, South Carolina based fine art gallery . Every person who subscribed to the sales funnel earned annual salaries of $250,000 - $1,000,000 dollars. Eventually he decided to pursue military service as a new level of inspiration grew within him to make changes which could allow him a greater opportunity to love fellow patriots.

SPC Knoch earned a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation Management from Western Carolina University in 2012, after earning the rank of Eagle Scout in 2008.
