    Beale kicks off CFC

    BEALE AFB, CA, UNITED STATES

Beale kicked off the 2019 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) during an all-call at Beale Air Force Base, California, Nov. 8.

The CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, whose mission is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

“What’s great about the CFC is that it gives federal employees an opportunity to help others.” said 2nd Lt. Jun Kang, the installation project officer. “Last year Beale raised approximately 3,000 dollars, our goal this year is to surpass that.”

There are over 20,000 estimated nonprofit charitable organizations worldwide supported through the CFC, making it one of the most inclusive workplace giving campaigns in the world.

“My passion is rescuing animals but I think it carries over to every charity that we represent like the homeless, the veterans, or medical research.” said Lisa Callahan, the Northern California CFC coordinator. “Everybody has a passion for something and I think that’s what makes the CFC so good is that there are so many different charities in there for everybody to have something that they feel passionate about.”

Donors have multiple options when it comes to making a pledge through CFC. You can choose your cause, select as many charities as you would like to support, and pledge both money and volunteer time.
