Soldiers with the 661st Engineer Company of the Illinois National Guard completed weapons qualification with the M249 rifle at Range 2 on Fort McCoy’s North Post on May 12, 2016.

Range 2 is one of 31 live-fire ranges available at Fort McCoy to support training at the installation.

Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.

The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
