Soldiers with Task Force Spartan's aviation section met with their peers of the Jordan Armed Forces in August and September to exchange best practices, techniques and procedures.
During the exchanges, the aviation specialists focused on capabilities, increasing interoperability between the two nations, aircrew training and mission planning.
"I think it is important that we work side by side in an environment where we can talk about our processes, exchange ideas of what works and doesn't work in our areas of expertise," said Sgt. 1st Class Brian W. Branson, a 38th Infantry Division avionics mechanic assigned to Task Force Spartan.
Spartan Soldiers who participated also said they enjoyed working alongside and learning from their partners with the Jordan military.
"It was an honor to be able to work alongside the Jordanians," said Branson. "I look at it as an opportunity of a lifetime to go and work alongside an ally of the U.S."
Task Force Spartan, manned by the National Guard Soldiers with the 38th Infantry Division, provides leadership, command, control and in-depth staff analysis for Operation Spartan Shield in partnership with Gulf region military forces including the Jordan Armed Forces.
