The 336th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron forward deployed two F-15E Strike Eagles and a maintenance support team Sept. 18, 2019, from Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, to Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of Agile Strike. The exercise was the newest iteration of the agile basing concept, which the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing has previously executed this summer with the F-35A Lightning II and F-15C Eagle to alternate locations in the region. Agile or adaptive basing allows our U.S. fighter assets to expand tactical and strategic reach while strengthening coalition and regional partnerships in the Air Forces Central Command area of responsibility. By ensuring our ability to remain agile, our assets stand ready to defend U.S. and coalition interests from nearly anywhere in the world at a moment's notice.
