Mongolian Armed Forces Capt. Bold Batdelger is a native of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, who found his father’s way of life honorable as a military surgeon, and decided to live the same path himself. Batdelger now finds himself in his father’s footsteps as a military surgeon with the Mongolian Central Military Hospital and has set the goal for himself to build a good life through hard work and dedication in his military career. Batdelger is a participant of Khaan Quest 2019 from June 14-28.
Q&A
Q: How do you like being in the military?
A: “I think working in an office is very boring. There is a lot of different things you can do when you’re in the military. It’s different every day. One day, you can be a soldier, then another, you’re a doctor. There is just a lot to do when you’re in the military.”
Q: Why do you think Khaan Quest is important?
A: “I think Khaan Quest is important because if we don’t share our experiences, we would be stuck within our own countries. Khaan Quest invites many different people from other countries who share their training and experiences. We share as well, and we all learn from them. If the time ever comes that we need to rely on each other, we could join together knowing we all have what it takes to do so.”

Q: How do you feel about working with other countries?
A: “Working with the other countries is really good. Everyone who’s come to Mongolia are all very honest and good people. We’re all always glad to work with them.”
Q: What excites you about Khaan Quest?
A: “What excites me is talking to all the people who come here, sharing knowledge with each other, and learning about each other’s cultures.”
