BUFFALO, NY– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, is still accepting public comments on the Proposed Plan for the Harshaw Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) site located in Cleveland, Ohio.

“The proposed plan for the Harshaw site removes FUSRAP-related contamination and mitigates potential future risks to human health and the environment,” said Steven Vriesen, USACE Buffalo District Project Manager. “The Corps of Engineers is committed to ensuring that our site activities are conducted safely, which is a top priority for the Corps.”

The Corps of Engineers presented its proposed plan at an April 2, 2019, public meeting and recently extended the 60-day public comment period until June 25th, in response to requests received from the public. To review the most up to date information on the Harshaw FUSRAP site and learn where to send comments, please visit: https://www.lrb.usace.army.mil/Missions/HTRW/FUSRAP/Harshaw-Site/

Buffalo District is committed to ensuring that any site activities are designed to be conducted in a safe manner, protecting human health and the environment. We look forward to continuing to work with our partners and stakeholders as we progress toward selecting a remedy for the site.
