The Beale Spouses Club held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the unveiling of the new Airman’s Attic Program at the base thrift shop May 30, 2019.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Beale Spouses Club, wing leadership, and members from various base agencies.

“We are excited to launch the new Airman’s Attic Program,” said Megan Smith, Beale Spouses Club president. “The four services under the program are the helping hands gift cards, the uniform room, loan locker kits, and Cinderella’s Closet.”

According to Smith, the gift cards are available for pickup by Airmen, spouses and first sergeants at the Airman and Family Readiness Center and they are designed to allow Airmen to purchase items from the thrift shop free of charge.

“Our brand new uniform room is fully stocked and organized,” Smith continued. “We have loan locker kits full of everything you need for your kitchen available to borrow. The Cinderella’s Closet has dresses available for spouses to borrow.”

The new Airman’s Attic initiatives will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the thrift shop.

“We are proud to be adding valuable services to assist our Recce Town Airmen and families,” said Carly Clark, Beale Spouses Club advisor. “In collaboration with multiple base agencies and private organizations, and despite multiple challenges that we have faced, we’ve been able to get creative to come up with a solution that works better for all involved. It’s a win-win for the volunteers running the Airman’s Attic Program and those in need of its services."
