DALLAS – Army & Air Force Exchange Service shoppers can now support Soldiers and Airmen in need with just one click.

ShopMyExchange.com shoppers can shop, save and give back by donating to Army Emergency Relief (AER) or the Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF).

Visitors to the site can click the “Give to Those Who Serve” banner on the website’s homepage to donate to either organization in $5 increments. Honorably discharged Veterans who have signed up for their lifelong exchange online shopping benefit (ShopMyExchange.com/vets) are also able donate to the relief organizations.

AER and AFAF provide emergency assistance, sponsor educational programs and offer community programs that improve the quality of life for service members and their families.

“Joining forces with Army Emergency Relief and the Air Force Assistance Fund allows us to help Warfighters and their families when they need it the most,” said Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull. “It is a privilege to partner with AER and AFAF to help those who serve.”

In the past two years, Exchange shoppers have been able to give to AER and AFAF in stores during select donation periods. To date, these efforts have garnered nearly $600,000 of support for service members facing difficulties. Three in-store donation periods will occur in 2019, in addition to the year-round online giving opportunity. Shoppers can donate at the register at any Exchange store June 14 to 18, Sept. 13 to 17 and Dec. 6 to 10. During these donation periods, shoppers will receive a coupon for $5 off a $25 Exchange purchase for every $5 donated. (Online shoppers will receive a coupon code.)

Facebook-friendly version: Support the troops with just one click at ShopMyExchange.com. Visitors to the Army & Air Force Exchange Service website can now add a donation to Army Emergency Relief or the Air Force Assistance Fund to their purchase by clicking the “Give to Those Who Serve” banner on ShopMyExchange.com.
