U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules, aircrew and support personnel assigned to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, have arrived at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, to participate in exercise Rapid Weasel. U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcons assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, will also participate in the exercise. This flying exercise demonstrates USAFE’s ability to rapidly forward deploy with few aircraft and personnel to execute flying operations at a simulated austere airfield environment. Exercises like this sharpen readiness and underscore U.S. commitment to regional security. This exercise is not related to any real world events.
