From boots to bombs, 379th Expeditionary Comptroller Squadron Airmen facilitate funding for four military branches, 19 coalition partners, and seven deployed locations.

“The 379th ECPTS is immensely different from the operations you have stateside,” said Maj. Earl Taylor, 379th ECPTS budget officer. “Not only are we supporting the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and contractors, we’re also supporting other nations. What we do helps put boots on ground and bombs on target.”

In addition to supporting forces locally, the Al Udeid comptroller team extends support to other bases and major commands.

“We affect everybody,” said Master Sgt. Tamika Felder, 379th ECPTS NCO in charge of customer service. “Other [financial sites], from Kuwait and Iraq to Djibouti, even United States Africa Command, we’re helping them as well. They send us all their pay entitlements for processing, between 5,000 to 10,000 pay entitlements a month. We help out where we can.”

Up to $159 million can flow through the 379th ECPTS every a year, allowing the comptrollers to invoke their mission: enabling others to do theirs.

“Whether it’s funding the medical group to help save someone’s life, the logistics readiness squadron to ensure things are transitioned in time, or the expeditionary operation group to make sure their flying squadrons are taken care of, knowing I had a part in something of this scale, bigger than myself is rewarding,” said Staff Sgt. Alana Dadlez, 379th ECPTS budget analyst.

Taylor credits the comptroller team’s ability to accomplish their far-reaching mission so effectively to their cohesiveness and willingness to learn.

“I couldn’t be more proud to have such a phenomenal group of individuals and the immaculate talent that everyone brings to the fight,” said Taylor. “It’s kind of mind blowing when you sit back and take a look at what we do in such a short period of time.”
