KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – More than 600 years of professional work experience. That’s how much combined professional work experience you will find among those who work in the Kirtland base helping agencies.

“Collectively, we call ourselves Wingman Plus,” said Teresa Reinhard, 377th Air Base Wing community support coordinator. “That reminds us we are here to work together to support wingmanship, resiliency, violence prevention, and the four domains of Comprehensive Airman Fitness--mental, social, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.”

People may be familiar with many base helping agencies, such as Airman & Family Readiness, ADAPT, Chaplain Corps, Child Development and Youth Programs, Community Support Coordinator, Employee Assistance Program, Equal Opportunity, Family Advocacy, Health Promotion, Inspector General, Mental Health Clinic, Military and Family Life Counselors, Military One Source, Safety, School Liaison Officer, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, and the Violence Prevention Integrator.

“Our work is diverse,” said Reinhard. “From helping someone prepare a family budget, grieve the death of a loved one, develop resiliency skills, file a complaint about workplace harassment, or attend a community connection event like a playgroup or faith-based services, we are here to serve you, your family, and all Airmen, active duty and civilian alike.”

These various agencies, though they have varying purposes, all come together for one thing: to support Airmen, civilian employees and their families.

“We think the most important experience—and the most important voice--is yours,” said Reinhard. “We want to better serve you and your family when you share your concerns and ideas with us.”

All ranks and all members of Team Kirtland--active duty, civilians, and family members--are invited by the base helping agencies to provide input on topics related to wellbeing, both personal and professional.

“Uniting us is our desire to make the Air Force the best place to work, but also the best family you have ever known; second only to your own,” said Reinhard. “Please help us be better so we can be there for you.
