Contractors completed groundwork as part of construction and installation of a Magic Carpet lift system Sept. 28, 2018, at Whitetail Ridge Ski Area at Fort McCoy, Wis.
According the manufacturer, the system is a conveyor lift system that has a user-friendly design, provides the highest surface conveyor capacity, and maximizes use of available space.
It also has a modular construction that allows for height and length modification has galvanized steel frame and premium components.
The new system is expected to be ready when the ski area opens for the 2018-2019 season.
Whitetail Ridge is open from approximately mid-December through mid-March, weather permitting.
