Combat Logistics Regiment 2 Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. Matthew J. McKinney, relinquished his post to Col. Michael E. McWilliams during a change of command ceremony, Sept. 26, 2018, at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
“I'm excited to be back home at CLR-2. It's an honor and a privilege to serve alongside these amazing men and women.”
Prior to assuming command of CLR-2, McWilliams served at Marine Corps Logistics Command, located in Albany, Georgia.
“Our plan is to focus on our combat readiness and our mission to provide direct support to 2d Marine Division.”
CLR-2 provide direct support in direct support of 2nd Marine Division beyond their organic capabilities. They serve as the Logistics Combat Element headquarters for a Marine Expeditionary Brigade sized Marine Air- Ground Task Force.
“CLR-2 has an excellent reputation. So we will continue to focus on our combat readiness and providing combat service support to 2d Marine Division and II MEF forces.”
