The 380th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron munitions flight worked with their host nation partners to test 24 backlogged missiles at Al Dhafra Air Base, Aug. 13.

The operation fostered partnership between the two nation’s offices, while also providing valuable training to the flight members.

“During this operation, we were able to showcase our training techniques while also showing our host nation we are willing to lend a hand at a moment's notice,” said Tech. Sgt. Daniel Jennings, 380th MXS munitions flight NCOIC.

Working in the joint environment was a new experience for some members.

"It was a great opportunity to finally work alongside our host nation partners, improving relations and how we both operate," said Staff Sgt. Braeden Driscoll, 380th MXS munitions flight.

Testing the missiles ensures the forces uphold air-to-air capabilities for their missions. The process of testing each missile can be a time-consuming task that requires precision and dedication of which both teams accomplished.

“The testing is beneficial because it helps them with the back log and gives our Airman a chance to operate in a joint environment," said Jennings. "I feel the training benefits all of us and gives us a chance to work together and see how we accomplish the big picture combined.”
