Members of the Virgin Islands National Guard 661st Military Police Law and Order Detachment arrived for annual training at Sunday, June 17, 2018, in Ft. Polk, LA.
Done annually, this training reiterated and put to use the members of the 661st Military Police Law and Order Detachment military occupation specialty. Being on a larger installation also allowed them to use skills that they may not have been able to use at the VING Joint Force Headquarters.
Making the training a smooth one was once again this year was the members of HHD 5-19th Military Police Battalion. Partnered in previous annual training exercises with the VING, they continued to provide the necessary tools and equipment to ensure that training would be a success.
“We came here to hone and sharpen our skills,” said Master Sgt. Lyndal Anthony. “We’re with a unit here we have trained with before and we look forward to working with them and accomplishing the mission.”
The 661st Military Police Law and Order Detachment will conclude annual training July 2, 2018.
